Heat Transfers are applied through a combination of heat and pressure. The desired graphic is first printed on specialty Heat Transfer paper. The paper contains a heat-sensitive adhesive on one side and when heat and pressure are applied the transfer forms a bond with the garment. Heat Transfers can be used in many combinations or solo depending on the desired look of your custom garment.
We offer a wide array of Heat Transfers: Hotflix Glitter, Foil, Lace, Sequins, Embroidered Applique Patches, Flocking, 3-D Transfers, Glow-in-the-Dark, Sublimated Foil, Plastisol and Glitter Litho, Rhinestones, Rhinestuds and Nailheads and many more!
Rhinestones, Rhinestuds and Nailheads are all types of heat transfers that you can apply solo or in combination with other decorating techniques to create a unique look for your garment. All three stones can come in a variety of shapes and sizes and colors. Understanding the difference of each will help you make the best selection for your project.
Rhinestones are transparent with a mirrored backing. The transparency allows the light to pass through it mimicking the shimmer and shine of a diamond giving your garment a fancy or more upscale look. Rhinestones come in a wide array of colors, shapes and sizes.
Rhinestuds differ from Rhinestones in that they are not transparent. Rhinestuds do not offer the shimmer and shine of a diamond, however; there is a reflective coating on Rhinestuds for a more muted shine. Rhinestuds also come in a wide array of colors, shapes and sizes.
Nailheads are typically made of brass. With nailheads being made of a solid material they do not have a shimmer or reflective quality to them. Nailheads come in a wide array of color, shapes and sizes.
